Another attempt at tilt-shift....I can't seem to get the effect that I want - or rather I am not satisfied with my attempts.
Today was a tad bit chilly - quite windy and such....winter is coming!
A shot of a good friend's really cool chair....taken with my iPhone.
A slightly dark shot taken at school this morning with my iPhone (by my friend Leah).
Ahhh...I love black and white so much!
It's been a long time since I have focused on taking a self portrait. I suppose I am using this as a procrastination tool as I have a ton of school work to get done.
I had the privilege of taking photos of Ian, his wife Pat and their dog Sparky a few weeks ago (Sept. 11). We had a fun morning of shooting. These are just a few of final shots.
Any comments or critiques are greatly appreciated good or bad!

If you happen to be in the Ottawa area take a few moments and stop into Venus Envy and take a look!
This official "unveiling" consists of some older images that have been posted here before and several never before seen images taken specifically for this show.
I took this photo with my iPhone while I was waiting for Smelly Cat to be finished with his check-up. He was sick a couple of weeks ago with a bacterial infection.
Can you spot the bottles of San Pellegrino?
This couple was totally adorable and you could see that they really enjoyed being together. ♥

I was so fortunate to be matched with the extremely talented MFayre for Week 11. Our theme was one that we both struggled to come up with an image - or at least I did! I wanted to take an image the portrayed the literal definition of the word "perpendicular" - as in the geometry definition. I love how MFayre's image and mine work so well together! Brilliant!

I think he was hungry or something. BTW he is always hungry.

Henri Matisse just happens to be one of my favourite artists...so I thought this quote was appropriate.

I have been working out a lot lately and I have to say I am pretty impressed with the results. I am finally getting some stomach definition back!
I have had some people concerned that I have lost a lot of weight, but as you can see I am healthy....just smaller!

When I thought of horror I instantly thought of the feeling one sometimes gets when seeing spiders.
This is a diptych project by a group of female photographers who have known each other a long time on Flickr. The project matches two of us together each week with a different theme to interpret how we want, on an individual basis. We then create a diptych using each of our photographs.
The results of the collabrations are being posted on a blog, which you can find here ...

I won't go into the details, but I lost someone that was very close to me on Wednesday. Just a reminder that it can happen at any time and that cherishing every moment is important. ♡

I liked the mix of delicate flowers and raw concrete.

Thought I would take a walk and capture some shots of the beautiful blossoms before they disappear.

As soon as I knew that our theme was oppressed, I instantly had an idea pop into my head. You can interpret my image as you will, but my goal is to bring across how lucky that we are to live in freedom, unlike our sisters in other countries.
Sarah's image matched mine perfectly! I am so glad that we got matched together as we both (I think) have a similar "bold" style in our images.

So I thought I would take a selfie today to let everyone know that I am still alive. *waves* School is done and I have started my job for the summer - so I am back to the real world it would seem.
Hopefully I will get back to taking a daily photo otherwise this challenge is never going to be completed!!

Our themes this week were all homonyms and ours was "stars". When I found out what our theme was I instantly knew that I had to take an image with my moon mask.
I am also really glad that both of our images are similar in that we are both looking up at the stars!

his week the lovely Ligeia and I were paired up to do "Sorceress". We really didn't communicate at all what either of us was going to do - and this is the result! I love it!

Libra Horoscope
You’ve got too much stuff going on right now, and it’s time to drop a few activities if you can. You can return to them in the near future, when your energy levels return to normal (more or less).
I am not sure I agree....if I didn't a lot going on I would be bored.
