This is not my first time delving into using clones in a photo but this is the first time that I felt inspired to make them "ghost" like. Putting "ghosts" into my image was kind of appropriate considering I was hanging out in a graveyard. ;)
I am fairly happy with how this one turned out actually. :)
I know I haven't posted a selfie in awhile but things have been sorta crazy around here.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, or winter depending on what hemisphere you reside in!
Just a little attempt of a tilt-shift photo..thought that the Anti-Tory protest would be a good time to try. ;)

Protest against the Harper Government. The protesters stopped for a sit-in on the corner of Bank and Laurier and then carried on peacefully to Parliament Hill.

Another attempt at underwater photography. I have some ideas in my head but just need to figure out a way to create them.
So I am attempting to get some underwater images - it's useful to have a pool. So these is my first attempt.
Here is an alternate photo that was considered for the collaboration with belly button girl
I was really excited to be paired with the talented Bronwen Hyde this week. Bronwen also chose the themes as well. This week's theme was the title of a Michael Nyman composition "Up Stairs". Not being familiar with this particular piece of music I had a listen and found it quite interesting that while listening to it I felt like descending instead of ascending as the title refers.
I think that Bronwen's photo and mine work quite well together as her image shows a reluctance to get to the top of the stairs through her crawling, while mine shows a rush to get to the bottom of the stairs.

Day 26: Z is for Zipper. Hard to really see in this photo but there is a zipper there....maybe I should have done something a little more risque but I am at the end of the challenge and am pretty much fed up. Gone are the says of doing a self portrait or even a photo a day for a year. Somewhere a long the way I seem to have lost my patience.
I have enjoyed this challenge and being able to read fellow participants blogs! ;)
Day 25: Y is for Yellow. I was at a loss at what to shoot for a representation of the letter Y, then a friend suggested Yellow. This was a great suggestion as I happen to have a yellow chair and when it was time to shoot it just happened to be bathed in sunlight!
Day 24: X is for...well "X". The letter X is insanely difficult to find something to photograph believe it or not. Thought this would be the easiest. Not one of my favourite shots by any stretch.
Day 23: W is for White. I haven't taken a high key B&W photo in a long time. Sorry I have been so tardy with posting but things have been busy and I have been lacking in a little bit of motivation. Not just in photography but in everything - as an example my condo needs some serious cleaning!
I went to Montreal this past weekend and had the pleasure to finally meet in person Spidy and DaisyB. We had a fantastic time hanging out and shooting pics and laughing until we cried! Love you guys! xx
Day 22: V is for Violin. I took many, many years of private classical violin instruction but decided when I was in first year university (about 20 [?] years ago) that I wanted to stop playing. Unfortunately, I haven’t picked it up seriously since then…maybe one of these days. I would like to play in a chamber ensemble again.
Day 21: U is for Underwear. Well, this is an original shot....
day 19: S is for shadows...Captured this while I was out walking around today. I might not get to post tomorrow's photo until Monday as I am heading to Montreal tomorrow for the weekend! I am looking forward to hanging out with spidy_cc and DaisyB (two flickr friends) while I am in town!! ;)
Day 18: R is for Red...my red Smartie of course! I will not be revealing if this is the last of the box or not. hehehe....if you are in the least bit confused, refer to my previous image.
Day 17: Q is for Question. The question in this case would be: When you eat your Smarties, do you eat the red ones last? :)
Sorry so late...the past couple of days have been hectic!
My best friend's name is Gaby and we met at the back of a dragon boat in Victoria, British Columbia! ;)
Day 16: P is for Pipes. Not exactly the most original image or word for that matter....
Day 14: N is for Night. I took this last night from one of my bedroom windows. I like the reflection on the pavement from the lights – it has been raining and cold and even snowing here. I am really in need of summer.
Day 15: O is for Orange. Which is what the colour of the moon was tonight. I had something else entirely different for this image but when I saw the moon I knew I had to take a pic of it. Unfortunately my settings weren’t exactly set correctly and well, it was cold outside so I didn’t spend the time to get a proper balance between the city lights and the moon. In fact this is a combo of two shots that I took - one where the moon turned out and one where I was satisfied with the city lights. This is something that I definitely need to work on – but the moon is what the focus is on here anyway.
Day 13: M is for Mouth. I pulled another image from my archives for this image and am posting it late as well. Things have been crazy around here as I am in lock-down mode in preparation for my exam tomorrow morning. But since I was up early this morning I would take advantage and get my image posted!
Day 11: K is for Ketchup "“Meddle not in the affairs of the dragon; for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.” ~ Anonymous
I can't believe that I had to go out and purchase a bottle of Ketchup for today's image!! What a travesty not having ketchup in my fridge - what was I thinking??
Day 10: J is for Jump! I've never been much of a jumper...
“…getting ready to jump as high as she can just because there’s only so long you can sit politely & listen while people talk about any old stuff that comes into their heads…” Story people
Day 9: I s for Ice. Just a simple shot today nothing fancy. I didn't have much inspiration for todays shot except for the anticipation of it being summer and drinking ice cold lemonade. :)
Day 8: H is for Hat. I decided that I would take a self portrait for Day 8, since I had an inch to take one. I love hat and have quite collection, but don’t wear them often enough I think!
Day 6: F is for Feet. I know this is a day late, but I had a Huge essay due this morning and ended up pulling an all-nighter to get it completed. So I did take a little break and manage to take a pic of my feet. I had kinda wished I could have curled up in the sun beam like a cat and taken a nap.

Day 4 is D. Since the image that I did take for today was really lame I am posting an old image that I took a couple of years ago. I thought it was appropriate that I posted an image of a dog since yesterday was a cat. I remember that it was around this time of year and I was out at a friend's place making maple syrup!
Day 3 is "C". Taking a photo to represent this letter was a no-brainer for me since I have been doing nothing lately but either working on school or taking care of my cats.
This image is of my dear cat Diva who has been sick lately. She is staring out the window at birds that are flying by.
Day 2: So I have had a little bit of difficulty trying to come up with something to represent the letter "B" and since I am stuck at home writing essays today and tending to a sick cat this is what I came up with.
Day 1: This is the first day of my "A to Z Challenge" that I am doing with over 1120 other bloggers!! I posted this on my blog earlier today but thought I would post it here, so those on Flickr can follow this challenge as well. ;)
As I was climbing many flights of stairs to get to class today this "A" caught my eye! Bam! That is how creativity happens ladies and gentlemen...now can I keep it up for the whole month?? Time will tell...I am already not sure what to do for the letter "B"
ok let's face it...my blinds are never closed completely ;)
Left: MaryElise
Right: Me
I was paired with the lovely MaryElise for this week of the project. I think that we each interpreted "private" in a complimentary way.

I have already donated to the Canadian Red Cross, but wanted to do something else. This crane does not represent anything in a monetary sense, but rather it is a symbol of support from the rest of the world.
Thank you to Apple and Sisters for the texture.
Just to prove that I know how to smile AND I am happy that it is St. Patty's Day....Muahhh!!!
Just taking another essay writing break to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day! Later this evening I shall raise my pint of Guinness to you! I normally don't wear green but luckily I got this t-shirt a couple of weeks ago at a Guinness promotion (as well as a free beer!).
To get yourself into the mood
I am entering into "that time" of the university semester when there are a million things to read and write and procrastination becomes a favourite, if not hated, past-time. I took a few moments to take a shot just to prove that I am alive and working - see the pencil!!?!! lol (prime example of procrastination)
My brain also hasn't been in "the game" either because of what is happening in Japan these past few days. Please donate to the Red Cross* if you can spare anything....the true devastation of what has happened in this country will not be visible for a long time I am afraid and they are going to need the support of the global community.
