These are random thoughts/daily observances that I come up with....
Spotted this while out and about today with my camera.
Sometimes you just need to wear a top hat....it's magic! :)
It was one of those days where I needed something comforting to eat that didn't take a lot of effort to make.
It was mild enough to take a little meander outside and capture some of the traffic in my city. This is also an attempt at tilt-shift - I think it worked out.
This photo was actually taken last night before I went to bed - but obviously processed and uploaded today - which means I have another image to take for today's photo. :)
I can't say that I exactly like this image....it has a certain "something" I can't put my finger on though.
This totally did not turn out like I had envisioned but I'm too tired to worry about it....it was supposed to be a combo of two different facial expressions - hmmm....
Hmmm...since I've been suffering from a bout of insomnia one could suppose this image is a creative way of covering up the dark circles under my eyes....
It's been a nice vacation and I am not looking forward to it ending.
Uh huh. So finally I have taken a photo using this gorgeous mask that the lovely MMaeb sent me last Christmas as a gift! I love it and regret not using it as a prop before this occasion! Thank you M!! xx
Note: There are those that are sceptical that I will be able to successfully complete this challenge. Let it be known that I have done it once and I can certainly do it again. Just wait and see. :)
I shot this image before Christmas and wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. I'm pretty happy with it. Although it won't be included in my 2013 -365 challenge, I'll post it anyway. :)
Ok...So I'm not doing so well with taking a self portrait everyday - it's only my second for COL! So since this is a challenge on an individual level, I am going to challenge myself to take a photo a day - it does not have to necessarily be a portrait - although that would be what I would prefer.
About this photo: I was sitting at my kitchen island sipping on my morning coffee when I saw Miss Diva staring out the window. Is she contemplating something? Perhaps just my ultimate demise, but I thought it would be a cool picture regardless.
So I am testing the waters a little bit and seeing if I can complete a 365 day challenge. So this will be my first photo of 2013 (fingers crossed that I will be able to complete it) Please be assured that if I can't complete a 365 I will turn it into a 52 week challenge.
One of the photos that I took while out on a hike this weekend in Gatineau Park.
I was matched with the lovely and VERY talented Rowandevoe Blue and Orange was the theme for this week of Diptychs. Since I am so busy with school and everything I took a photo from my archives. This is from my second attempt at a 365 project.
I really like how the colours in these photos are so complimentary. :)
Some photos I took while hanging out at my friend and fellow photographer's studio.
(I was the model but I got some time to get behind the camera as well and to also get a tutorial on all things strobist)

Concept: Me
Make-up artist: Dania Khanafer
As part of Gallery 101's "Gluttony" themed 101 Frames charity auction.
So essentially Gallery 101 has empty frames and local artists are encouraged to come in and get a frame and then create art with the theme "Gluttony". The frames will then be auctioned off at a silent auction.

I was paired this week with the very talented M.Fayre and our theme to interpret was a quote instead of a word. Our quote was "All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware." ~ Martin Buber When I initially read the quote I had a different concept in my head then what I ended up shooting but for some reason the thought of shooting in a graveyard was always in the back of me head. I suppose the thought of the journey taken (wherever it is that we go) after we die is certainly an interesting one and worth exploring. After seeing what M. Fayre had taken I had a feeling that each image would be complimentary to each other. :)
This is a diptych project by a group of female photographers who have known each other a long time on Flickr. The project matches two of us together each week with a different theme to interpret how we want, on an individual basis. We then create a diptych using each of our photographs.
The results of the collabrations are being posted on a blog, which you can find here ...

This is not my first time delving into using clones in a photo but this is the first time that I felt inspired to make them "ghost" like. Putting "ghosts" into my image was kind of appropriate considering I was hanging out in a graveyard. ;)
I am fairly happy with how this one turned out actually. :)
