It's been a long day and I'm still not feeling any better from this cold. I went to work and then came home and went back to bed. One could even say that I'm cranky as hell.
It's been kind of a crummy few days. Confession: when I come home from work I like to take a shower and put on my PJs and vegetate.
I took this last night before going to bed - not that inspired.
This heart isn't perfect and it's been through some rough times, but it's still in one piece. :)
hmmm...just a shot of something I was snacking on. SOOC (straight out of the camera) :)
Woohoo!! My new Blackbird Fly! (It's actually an ebay purchase - but new to me). This camera takes 35mm film and is a TLR...I am looking forward to using it!
No, I'm not collecting corks for any particular reason - this collection of corks is more of a commentary about how much wine I drink. :)
Another image in my bird series....
Sorry for the late post, but I didn't get home until late from having drinks with friends last night @ one of our local brew pubs. It was a blustery evening to say the least, so it was nice to be nice and warm inside. This is also not the most inspired image I have ever taken...
I've been home from work today with a headache and general feeling like crap - scratchy throat etc. I do think that my headache is primarily because I am in need of a prescription adjustment on my eye glasses. Ok...I'm going to go back to bed now...
More macro lovliness...I need a break from the birds....

Yes, another bird photo...I happen to like this little thing I have going on.
car·ri·on - n. - Dead and decaying flesh.
adj.
1. Of or similar to dead and decaying flesh.
2. Feeding on such flesh.

Perhaps you can expect more bird themed photos in the nearest future.
So I got home late after going out for some drinks with friends after work and this is what I came up with for my image of the day. Lego characters rock!

Just playing around with my ghetto lighting - desk lamp.
Taken through the door to my front loading washing machine. Back lit with a desk lamp. My aren't I ghetto.....
....interprete this as you may although I might expect that some might find it a smidge too existential.
This is an alternate to my "official" 365 photo for today. I had a definite issue in trying to decide which image to post and whether I prefer the black and white or the coloured version.
It would seem that the best light to take photos with in my condo is during the late afternoon....at least in this particular room anyway - which might be the reason for my frown.
Another macro shot....Sorry for the lack of self portraits lately - I just haven't been motivated - but the macro thing seems to be working. :)
I've been trying to cut back on my coffee intake - not that I really drink a lot of coffee to begin with. Instead having a morning coffee, I'm substituting it with a fruit smoothie. I used to make a smoothie every morning religiously but when I started university for some reason coffee was more attractive. I think I will still have coffee on the weekends periodically.
I was shocked today to hear that Apple has removed the 500px app because of complaints that nude photos are too easy to find....which are considered "pornography" to some people. Nudity it NOT pornography. So come to the dark side....we have cookies. :)
So another macro shot from my adventures in my bathroom - Day 2. It's kind of interesting what happens when one removes their camera lens and turns it around....even more macroization! :) (I just created that word)

Just travelling around my apartment with my macro lens challenging myself to find something interesting to capture.
Yeah....dreading Monday..the usual
Spotted this while out and about today with my camera.
Sometimes you just need to wear a top hat....it's magic! :)
It was one of those days where I needed something comforting to eat that didn't take a lot of effort to make.
It was mild enough to take a little meander outside and capture some of the traffic in my city. This is also an attempt at tilt-shift - I think it worked out.
This photo was actually taken last night before I went to bed - but obviously processed and uploaded today - which means I have another image to take for today's photo. :)
I can't say that I exactly like this image....it has a certain "something" I can't put my finger on though.
This totally did not turn out like I had envisioned but I'm too tired to worry about it....it was supposed to be a combo of two different facial expressions - hmmm....
Hmmm...since I've been suffering from a bout of insomnia one could suppose this image is a creative way of covering up the dark circles under my eyes....
It's been a nice vacation and I am not looking forward to it ending.
Uh huh. So finally I have taken a photo using this gorgeous mask that the lovely MMaeb sent me last Christmas as a gift! I love it and regret not using it as a prop before this occasion! Thank you M!! xx
Note: There are those that are sceptical that I will be able to successfully complete this challenge. Let it be known that I have done it once and I can certainly do it again. Just wait and see. :)
I shot this image before Christmas and wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. I'm pretty happy with it. Although it won't be included in my 2013 -365 challenge, I'll post it anyway. :)
Ok...So I'm not doing so well with taking a self portrait everyday - it's only my second for COL! So since this is a challenge on an individual level, I am going to challenge myself to take a photo a day - it does not have to necessarily be a portrait - although that would be what I would prefer.
About this photo: I was sitting at my kitchen island sipping on my morning coffee when I saw Miss Diva staring out the window. Is she contemplating something? Perhaps just my ultimate demise, but I thought it would be a cool picture regardless.
So I am testing the waters a little bit and seeing if I can complete a 365 day challenge. So this will be my first photo of 2013 (fingers crossed that I will be able to complete it) Please be assured that if I can't complete a 365 I will turn it into a 52 week challenge.
